Live the movement.Skillz Dance Fest returns for its 9th edition — a vibrant celebration of dance, creativity, and community that unites East Africa’s boldest movers, thinkers, and dreamers. From the lake to the city, this year’s festival takes you on an unforgettable journey through rhythm, style, and connection.
The journey begins with the Nalubaale Dance Retreat, a 24-hour immersive experience on the tranquil waters of Lake Victoria — blending dance healing, meditation, and reconnaissance. It’s not just a retreat; it’s a space to reconnect with self and community through movement.
The celebration continues in Kampala with The Wild Ones hosting three days of energy and artistry. Thursday kicks off with the Wild Dance Pre-Party, where the city’s dancers and creatives gather for cyphers, DJ sets, and all-night vibes.
Friday brings the festival in full swing — Dance Workshops, Lab & Dialogue, Cypher Battles, Fashion Friday, and the legendary DJ Dance Party. A day designed to inspire, connect, and ignite creativity.
Saturday closes with the Skillz Showdown, featuring KRUMP Top 8 and BREAKING Top 8 battles — an explosive display of artistry, strength, and street culture that defines the Skillz legacy.
