Creativity grows through Collaboration
We are proud to be part of the British Council Uganda Creative Showcase Programme, a platform that demonstrates the power of cross-sector collaboration in strengthening Uganda’s creative ecosystem.
This showcase brings together artists, designers, musicians, dancers, cultural organisations, creative entrepreneurs, and audiences to exchange ideas, share practice, and celebrate the innovation shaping contemporary African creativity.
In collaboration with IGC Fashion, Nyege Nyege Festival, DuFFLED, and SKillz Dance Fest, the programme features a dynamic line-up of experiences, including:
• The CEP Creative Market, showcasing local creative enterprises and independent brands.
• Interactive fashion workshops exploring craftsmanship, sustainability, and design.
• Dance workshops for all ages curated by SKillz Dance Fest.
• Let’s Talk: Control /Risk, a conversation examining creativity, entrepreneurship, and navigating uncertainty within the creative industries.
• Sonic Shadows, a multidisciplinary performance exploring the intersection of Hip Hop, indigenous sounds, movement, and sonic experimentation.
• The official opening of IGC Fashion’s first physical store, marking an exciting milestone for Uganda’s independent fashion sector.
• A Nyege Nyege Experience featuring Moja Sound System (Sudan), celebrating regional musical exchange and contemporary African sound.
The Creative Showcase reflects how meaningful partnerships between cultural organisations, creative businesses, and artists can create new opportunities for learning, visibility, collaboration, and sustainable growth across the creative economy.
We invite creatives, policymakers, educators, development partners, businesses, and the wider public to join us for a day of inspiration, exchange, and celebration.
